Would like to do your own Family Research but not sure how to start? – Our Beginners courses could help get you started on our journey to find your Scottish Ancestors..
In the past Frances has run Beginner Genealogy courses for Fife Council. She is now running Tuition courses for beginners.These can be either as an individual or a small group, day courses are normally held at Braeside Mains, Newburgh, Fife but can be run at other venues. Residential courses, staying at one of our luxury lodges on the family farm, are available. Online courses can also be arranged.
The purpose of these courses are to set you on the road to doing your own research. We will look at the records you hold, starting with your own or parents birth/marriage certificates. The course would then cover where and how to progress and find records. We will then show you how to record your findings. Access to a computer either at home or in your local library is essential. As you progress you will be taken on a visit to the Scotland’s People Centre in Edinburgh.
One to one or group tuition. Residential, half day and full day courses available. We have luxury accommodation on the farm, details on www.lindores.co.uk run by my son and daugher in law.
Payment:
You do not need to be a member to pay by Paypal but you can pay by BACS if you prefer. A deposit is taken before starting your research.
