Tuition

Frances Black, our qualified genealogist, has run courses for Fife Council in Newburgh, Newport and St Monans. Now she is also offering day Tuition courses in Scottish Genealogy, either as one to one, or in small groups to get you started. This is normally held at Braeside Mains, Newburgh, Fife. We can also offer a residential 3 day course, staying at one of our luxury lodges on the family farm, early booking essential.

These courses will help you start your own research.  Tuition will begin with looking at the records you hold, starting with your own or parents birth/marriage certificates and any others you have. We would then cover where and how to progress and find records, how to use the information, and how to record it either in paper form or with a computer program. You will need access to a computer either at home or in your local library. As you progress we will take a visit to the Scotland’s People Centre in Edinburgh and help take you through the records.
