The following are comments from some of our clients:
"We
were delighted with the work Frances had done prior to our visit. As our
time was short it meant that we didn't spend a day looking for our
ancestors farm at Blairgowrie. We had details of how to get there
and she had arranged with the present owners for us to look round the
house and take photos. It was wonderful! We also managed to find our
ancestors grave, although unfortunately we could not make out much of
the inscription. Without Frances' information we would have walked past
it. It made our trip worthwhile and would recommend her to anyone coming
to Scotland."

I have used Frances Black since
discovering her name on the Fife Website. Frances has been extremely
diligent in her work for us . When we were fortunate to visit Scotland
she went out of her way to make us feel at home. She had contacted a one
name family historian and had arranged for us to meet with him. Also to
visit where my husbands G G great grandfather had lived for a
considerable time. Her family welcomed us with amazing hospitality into
their home since returning home to NZ Frances has continued to be
highly professional in all her work for us and provides the human side
of all the dead relations . We would recommend her to any and everyone
who wants professional, trusted work to an extremely high standard.
Frances is a delightful person and we thoroughly enjoy working with
her.

"In October 2005, we
found Frances Black when looking for help with family history research
in Laurencekirk. Frances provided a free of charge initial check on our
Macdonald family and we were delighted with her immediate response. It
was as though she personally knew our ancestors and the results in some
areas where we had been struggling, were highly praiseworthy. In
essence, the initial work reviewed our family tree and identified areas
to go forward as well as clarifying several areas where we may have
missed ancestors.
During this period,
Clare's family decided to hold a family reunion in England and we
decided to attend and extend our visit to Dundee and Laurencekirk. We
met Frances and spent the day in part at the Tay Valley Family History
Society's rooms and then off to the Black's wonderful farm. We left for
more travel in and around the Laurencekirk area for 3 more days and have
since commissioned more work based on recommendations from Frances. We
received great value for money, found more family members and clarified
several key family members critical details. In addition, we gained a
friend in the home of my ancestors."

"Wow! we were
thrilled with the research you did for us getting back to the mid 1700's
with a few surprises along the way! If our plans work out we will be in
Scotland in Spring 2007 to visit the places you have photographed.
Thanks so much Frances - your help and patience has been great."
