We are based in the Kingdom of Fife and are less than an hour from Edinburgh where most of the records are kept. We also have close links with Galloway and have a great deal of information regarding that area.

Ancestral Photography

For many a visit to Scotland is not an option, so I can take photos of some of the places your ancestors lived. The kind of photographs I can take are:

	*The house that your ancestors were born/lived/died in.*
	*The village/town where their house was situated.*
	*The school they attended.*
	*The Church they were married in.*
	*The gravestone marking where they were buried and a transcription.*

There is of course no guarantee that all the the above will be there but I will try my best and also take notes of anything I think may be relevant.

Archives & Libraries

There is a huge amount of material in archives and libraries, including newspapers, which is not available on-line. Let us have your ancestors names and areas where they lived and I will research them for you.

Monumental Inscriptions

These can be of great interest in locating an ancestor. Recently I found a gravestone in Leuchars. This was for an American client, and on the gravestone was mention of a great uncle who had died in South Africa, the family did not know he existed. It gave the date and place of his death.
