For some a visit to
Scotland would not be complete without a visit to their Clan Castle.
Whilst many are open to the public and are well maintained, a great many
are little more than a ruin. However that does not make it any less
important to visit. Maybe you will be lucky enough to arrange your visit
to Scotland to coincide with your Clan Gathering.
Highland Games take place all over
Scotland during the summer months. The program of events vary depending
on where they are held but they nearly always include competitions for
Highland Dancing, Piping and heavyweight events including "tossing
the caber" and of course plenty of kilts and whisky!
