If you would like to stay somewhere special in the midst of some of Scotland's most stunning countryside try the Kylesku Hotel, Sutherland. The hotel is one of the most welcoming that I have stayed in with superb food.

Dalmunzie Hotel, Scotland's first Genealogy Hotel,  is a stunning quintessential Lairds mansion turreted in the Scots Baronial style. Built near the ruins of an earlier castle and situated on a 6500 acre estate, Dalmunzie enjoys magnificent mountain scenery in a hidden part of Highland Perthshire, yet is less than two hours from Edinburgh airport.
